Have you heard of the play, Spamalot? I am thinking about going to see it but I wanted to know what you thought first. I am not a fan of Spam. I prefer Vienner sausages. What do you think?
Larry,
Well, it just so happens that my family and I went to see Spamalot here in Birmingham last night at the civic center. I can't remember when I have had a more enjoyable evening. It really isn't about canned meat. It is a take-off from the movie, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. What I love about Broadway productions is the embellishment. They added so many funny parts and songs that keep you rolling in your seats. They do come back to the plot of the movie, though. My teenage daughter was not at all pleased that we were making her go on this family outing, but once or twice during the production I think I saw a smile and maybe a laugh. I think if you can get a teenage girl who has limited interest in Monty Python to enjoy the play, then it is well worth your time. I would say that it is money (quite a bit) well spent. I am not so sure this play will be making its way to Toad Suck anytime soon. I would say the closest to you may be Little Rock. Have a great week and remember, "Always look on the bright side of life."
